TA2DG Mr. Muzaffer is one of the veteran and respected operators of Turkish amateur radio. Born in 1943, Soğukpınar served as a radio operator in the Turkish Air Force and is also a Cyprus veteran. He was active in amateur radio from 1960 onward. For many years, he operated actively on the HF and VHF bands from his station on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. He is a lifetime member of TRAC Türkiye Radyo Amatörleri Cemiyeti. In the 1995s, he worked on TAcallbook studies.

He compiled the memories of TA1N Nijat ORKUŞ, known as the first radio amateur of the Republic of Türkiye, and brought this valuable work to us. We also see the first Turkish QSL card with this document. To read the article, click here.

He donated the CW key he used in the communications he made on the aircraft to the Kadıköy TRAC Association, and this valuable equipment is now exhibited within the association. We also thank him for his valuable QSL card donations to the QSL museum and express our gratitude for the contributions he left to the amateur radio community.
